US Tour Part 2- Amber in Denver

Hello Everyone, we are gearing up for another epic adventure.  I started my first leg today flying into Denver for the NEA Representative Assembly.  I made it in this morning thanks to my wonderful husband, who woke up extra early to have me at the airport by 5 AM.(Love you Doug!!!).
The flight was uneventful, always a good thing, and I got here on time.  Unfortunately, my roommates who were on a later flight still have not made it here and it is 10:00 PM Central.   Once I got settled into my room, I went with a friend to lunch.  Then we walked part of the 16th Street Mall.  We found an awesome cupcake place, Mermaids Cupcakes, which had gluten free cupcakes.  We also stopped at City Pop and I got some gourmet popcorn slated caramel favored and sour cream and cheddar.  MMMMMM!!!!!

After that I needed a nap, after all I did get up at 3:45 AM. Eastern.

Later in the day, I took a long walk around town and took some pictures, both from the hotel and around town. It was nice.

I was lucky to be invited to join a friends dinner party at a Prime Steak House.  The food was amazing,  I definitely used my per diem today (LOL).  So now it is 10:15, I just heard from my roommates, they have safely landed, and will be here in about an hour.  I am chilin' in my  PJ's thinking about tomorrows plan for the day.  I know I have a meeting at 1:30 PM and I need to register at the Convention Center.  Otherwise that day is open for what ever trouble I can find.   The next four weeks are going to be fun!
